Jet Mill OCX

The jet mill OCX is a fluidized bed jet mill and is particularly suitable for dry ultra-fine grinding with a steep particle size distribution in the < 10 µm range. Thanks to the smart combination of a newly designed grinding chamber with utilization of the NEA Jet nozzles in the opposed jet process, and the modular, highly efficient NEUMAN & ESSER classifiers, the OCX jet mill can be used extremely energy-efficiently to produce ultra-fine powders at high throughput rates.
The throughputs and finenesses achieved are superior to conventional jet milling technology.
Typical applications for the OCX jet mill can be found in almost all areas of ultra-fine powder production: Battery Materials & Carbons, Food & Feed, Chemicals & Pigments, and Minerals & Mining.

A Proven Grinding Concept Developed Into a New Benchmark

We have combined the well-known and proven grinding concept of opposed jet grinding in a fluidized bed with the modular and highly efficient NEUMAN & ESSER classifier heads. By optimizing flow dynamics and process technology of opposed jet milling and classification, we were able to create a new benchmark in terms of the fineness and throughput that can be achieved on a jet mill with maximum energy efficiency.

Wide Range of Applications

In jet milling, particle size reduction happens by highly intensive collisions between the particles. Due to the high grinding intensity, this grinding concept is particularly suitable for the highest demands on the fineness to be achieved. 

In addition, there are no grinding tools or other moving machine parts in the grinding zone, which prevents wear and contamination. Jet grinding is therefore particularly recommended for applications that require low product contamination.
